The suitcases are not even half packed, we still have errands to run but, regardless of whether everything gets struck off the to-do-list or not, we are getting out of town. Today. In less than 10 hours we’ll be vacation-bound and the giddy excitement is starting to set in. A few days indulging in pasta and drinking wine in Rome; a few more days visiting with friends and eating our way across London. Yup, definitely getting excited. We aren’t abandoning our regularly scheduled lives completely, however. The cooking and eating will carry on here at two bites and we’ll be back in July with gelato cravings and a longing for lazy vacation afternoons. Till then, happy summer days.
